Tony Newell started his education as a student and graduate of Miami Southridge Senior High School where he was a member of the school’s track and field and football teams.
Tony was awarded the Riddell Scholar Athlete Award and was enrolled in the JROTC program affiliated with the United States Air Force. Tony continued his education at the University of Florida graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Following family tradition, Tony embarked on his path of leadership at Hammer Construction Corp.
Throughout his formative years with the company, Tony led construction crews in the restoration of several notable projects within the South Florida community such as cleanup and restoration efforts for thousands of residents following the destruction of the “infamous four” hurricanes known as Jeanne, Francis, Charley and Ivan. He also led the post-fire restoration of the MacArthur Engineering Building at the University of Miami.
In 2011, Tony obtained his Florida State General Contractor License and now serves as the company’s Vice President of Operations. In 2013, Tony married his wife, Paola.
