Maria Claudia Gomez started her education in Colombia at La Salle University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Later she joined the Academic staff of the Civil Engineer Faculty as Academic Secretary (Vice-Dean) and teacher. Maria also taught at Nueva Granada Military University. During those ten years, she led construction crews in new construction of important projects including Multifamily Buildings, Recreational Centers and High School Facilities, after which she moved to Miami with her family.
After eight years of dedicating her work toward raising a family, she decided to re-embark on her path back to the construction industry. In 2003, Maria obtained her Florida State General Contractor License and started her own company. In 2004, she obtained her Real Estate Sales Associated License, 2009, obtained her Roofing Contractor License and in 2011, after conducting thousands of home inspections, she obtained her Home Inspectors License. Currently, she serves Hammer Construction Corp. as Estimator/Project Manager and has been for over 12 years.
